Bens Blog

Hey guys!

Ben Tellis here, co-founder and director of Infinite Fitness Peninsula.
Each week I'll be sharing a little bit about me and keeping you up to date with the different things I encounter on a week to week basis. I want to give you an insight into my experiences that will not only share a bit of wisdom, but also relate back to all things health and fitness and more importantly life in general. As well as having a bit of fun and being entertaining, the main objective is to give you guys tools, advice and information that will help you smash your goals both inside the gym and out! A number of topics and daily situations will be covered on the fly week by week and I hope this will help a lot of thought provoking and emotionally relevant discussions.
Enjoy!

CLEANING

May 14, 2020

It's a NO from me... There’s 3 certainties in life. Death, taxes and having to do chores around the house. Vacuuming, dusting, doing the dishes, washing clothes and cleaning in general are the worst jobs ever. I’ll throw weeding in there too. Yuk Don’t get me wrong. I’m a neat freak and my house is very well kept. There’s no clutter, everything has its place and I can admit I do have a bit of OCD. But I can’t stand the thought of performing the above mentioned tasks let alone actually doing them. They are so mundane. For all... Read More..

Investing

May 7, 2020

Listen up! The Buff has something to say I’m one of those people that finds it hard to switch off. Any spare time I have I try to put to good use. Doesn’t mean I crave socialising, running around or having to get out of the house to stimulate my mind just because I can’t sit still. It means I like to utilise any downtime I have to try and learn about something or educate myself. Once my work for the day is done and my daily exercise fix has been completed I feel if I’m not improving my knowledge... Read More..

THE WEATHER

May 1, 2020

It's gonna be a beautiful day! Isn’t it funny how a simple change in weather can alter our mood. And isn’t it funny how we relate and describe our types of moods, emotions and situations to the weather. Moods can brighten and darken, futures can be under a cloud and relationships can be stormy. And when we’re feeling sick we say ‘’we’re under the weather.’’ How often do you observe not only yourself but people around you to be in ‘brighter’ moods when the sun is out? Nearly always is the answer! Maybe it’s due to the fact you can... Read More..

WHY DO WE ALWAYS WANT WHAT WE CANT HAVE

April 24, 2020

Easy tiger There’s something about what we can’t have or don’t have that makes us want it even more. Why is that? And why do we seem to get complacent and even bored with the things we already do have? As a result we’re always chasing things. Money, happiness, acceptance, the hot babe across the road, the stud with the perfect guns, the good life, the perfect look, the dream home... The list goes on. I guess there’s an element of chasing that’s good for us. It helps drive us and keeps us focused. Gives us a bit of purpose.... Read More..

THE KEY TO BEING SUCCESSFUL

April 16, 2020

SUCCESS ALL DEPENDS ON THE SECOND LETTER The results are in and it’s official! The number one ingredient and key to being successful at anything in life is.... Looking after yourself. The link between having success and being physically and mentally healthy are unquestionable. Now bare in mind we all have our own definitions of success and what it means. HOW TO SURVIVE TRAINING AT HOME

April 9, 2020

If it's important enough to you, you'll find a way In a time where there’s a lot of uncertainty, chaos and panic it’s easy to lose focus on the things that have served us well up until now. Our established routines of a 9-5 job, getting the kids to and from school, uni timetables, weekly catch-ups with friends and the weekly grocery shop have pretty much been turned on their head in the space of a couple of weeks. But because our daily routine helps to guide and keep us in tact mentally and physically it’s important not to totally... Read More..
