So after a good 10 years or more of solid service my beloved 50 inch plasma TV had shown its last show 🙁
With a big arse yellow line burnt through the middle of the screen and knowledge these TV’s had limited life spans I knew she was cooked.
However, every end is a new beginning as they say so the decision was made to invest in a new idiot box.
One day after a trip to the dentist (I’ll save that story for another time) I made my way to Costco after a tip off this joint had the best TV’s at discounted prices. I’d heard a bit about this place but had never been so was curious…
Armed with a ton of questions, but no real intention to buy i strutted through the opening doors into this massive place and gee whiz the joint is off it’s head. It’s huge! And there’s people everywhere!
Anyway as soon as I walked in, lucky enough the bevy of TV’s they had were right near the entrance so I decided to have a bit of a browse. I soon saw the TV’s I had my eye on from the little bits of research I’d done and proceeded to run through the decision making process.
I eventually called a guy over just to clarify a couple of questions I had but after only 30 minutes I walked out with a huge arse 75 inch top of the range TV. Like a boss.
Happy with my purchase and obviously justifying the price in my head about 300 times it was time to put it to use.
After setting it up, it took about a minute to realise what I had been missing out on for a long time. The picture quality was on another level.
Naturally, I flick to the high definition sports channels and wow! The picture is so clear as if you’re actually there!
The athletics were on so I sat for a while and watched these amazing humans strut their stuff. One thing I admire is seeing the best people in the world perform their craft. The speed, power, athleticism, strength, coordination, focus and determination are incredible. These peeps make you want to get out and train.
Now that I think about it my clients do the same! I get a kick out of watching them work their arses off week in week out. I guess they’re my little athletes. They motivate me. They inspire me to get better and improve.
I have a job that gives me an enormous amount of satisfaction. Being surrounded by so many people wanting to be better versions of themselves inside the gym and out. It’s a really cool workplace to be in.
So here’s a shoutout to all the homies at IFP. You keep doing you!
