I am a 50 year old married mother of 2 children, my son aged 21 and my daughter is 18. I have always been a member of a gym for as many years as I can remember.
It has only been in the last 5 years that I feel my fitness and mindset has improved. I started doing Personal Training with Ben back in December 2011.
A friend of mine approached me at the gym and asked if I wanted to join her group for some training. I had always wanted to give it a go but was apprehensive because I thought it looked so hard.
Once I let go of my fears, I realised the benefits of improving my fitness and being happier and healthier far outweighed any negative thoughts.
Through Ben’s patience and dedication I am now able to push myself to a much higher intensity level. If at any stage I have sustained an injury (which has never been from training but rather outside influences) he will always change things to accommodate my needs.
Personally, training, keeping fit and establishing a set routine is a huge priority in my life. As well as keeping my weight at a healthy range ( I have lost approximately 5 kgs and am able to maintain my weight now) I find that mentally I am more positive, happier and also able to sleep soundly at night. My life in general is much more balanced.
Training sessions with Ben are always geared toward my individual capabilities and his emphasis on correct technique ensures I am injury free as well as gaining the most out of my workouts. Training is now a healthy habit I wouldn’t be without.
Ben’s knowledge and commitment motivate me to want to train well in to the future, no matter what age. He is definitely my mentor and go to person regarding fitness and nutrition.
Nothing is ever a problem for him to give advice on. He’s the best Personal Trainer ever.
