I am 36 years old and I have been training with Ben for about 5 years. My motivation to train was to be physically fit for refereeing Basketball and to be able to pass fitness test to go to the next level for my refereeing.
The reason I decided to train with Ben was because I had just finished my Personal Training course and I wanted to also take my training to the next level.
Training with Ben helped me with my goals over the years by helping me stay accountable by following programs, tracking my food and keeping a food diary with Ben checking on this often. I feel that I became a better trainer myself, as I did not feel comfortable demonstrating movements to clients because I did not feel like I had been shown properly when I did my PT course.
The benefits I have achieved from training with Ben are, becoming the fittest I have ever been, getting to the healthiest version of me, being strong, losing over 45kg and getting my body fat % down to more than half of what it used to be when I first started.
Over the last two years both of my knees have undergone surgery and Ben has helped me with my training the entire way. I have had a few setbacks over the years that have hindered my training but Ben always had plenty of different ways to help me continue to get results.
Over the years I have trained with many trainers as I started my weight loss journey at 110kg and over 50% body fat and I was living a horribly unhealthy lifestyle. It was not until I started training with Ben I learnt how to lift correctly as I find him to be a technical trainer, always giving cues to fix my form and I think it is because he actually cares about the people he trains. Ben’s support is always there even if it is an ear to listen.
